A woman who has mentioned being an old soul on more than one occasion has found herself having a very interesting chat with a psychologist this morning, who revealed that maybe, just maybe, Abbey Murphy [26] had matured a little bit too fast in her formative years due to environmental pressures.

As they’d unpacked a few pivotal childhood memories in the session, Abbey had revealed that she was a child of divorce and that he’d found herself being a shoulder to lean on for both her mother and father – becoming somewhat of a mediator between the two, at just ten years old.

Taking a deep dive into her identity, Abbey was shocked to discover that it’s not normal for a kid to play psychologist at such a young age and that the fact she felt like such an oldie was that she was dealing with things far beyond her years.

“Well damn”, says Abbey, “there you go.”

Adding that seeing her parents struggle with their marriage has also warped her perception of relationships, Abbey wonders what other fucked up emotional problems she has that she can blame on her family.

“I’m not really comfortable with affection but I don’t think I ever saw my mum and dad hug either?”

“WOW, honestly, this explains so much.”

More to come.
