Finding herself on date number three, local woman Renee Hasting is prepared to dip into a more thorough investigation of the history, hopes, dreams and character quirks of her date, Daniel.

A quest that may have been prompted by the sheer amount of vodka tonics she’s nervously downed in the past hour, having considered the prospect of going back to his afterwards.

Seeing as she had already loosely worked out his birthday already, there are a few questions Renee will need answered directly from the horse’s mouth – questions that will be interwoven throughout the conversation as the night progresses, so it doesn’t look like she’s interrogating him.

Which she absolutely is.

“Do you know your Myers Briggs?” Renee asks.

He shakes his head.

Moving on with some more light hearted babbling, Renee later weaves in another question, this time, about how he expresses love.

“Do you know what your language is?”

Shaking his head again, a bemused Daniel encourages Renee to speak more about this mysterious love language shit.

“Okay so it’s basically how you express and experience love. There’s physical touch, as in you like to touch your partner, words of affirmation, which is praise.”

“Quality time, as in you like one on one time.”

“Acts of service, so doing things for your partner.”

“Or gift giving.”

Taking a long moment to think, the bloke says he reckons he’s ‘all of them.’

“Hahaha no you can’t be all of them!”

“You can only have one for how you show love, and one for how you receive it.”

Unfortunately the wholesome conversation came to an abrupt end, when Dan started saying he knows another way he’d like to receive love and asked her if they should move on from this restaurant.

More to come.
