Netball Australia has lost a $15 million-dollar sponsorship deal with Hancock Prospecting after players refused to wear the company’s logo on their uniform, leaving the desperate organisation in the red without their only available lifeline of conditional funding.

The Australian conservative media at NewsCorp and talkback radio have gleefully used this an opportunity to roll out some of the exciting new words they have learnt from their unapid interns like ‘cancel culture’ and ‘woke’ – as they rushed to accuse our athletes of being overly ‘politically correct’.

Many commentators assumed this initial boycott might’ve been caused by netballers might realise that the this multibillion dollar mining corporation is directly responsible for the climate change-charged weather events that are destroying homes and businesses around the country.

However, it seems the issue surrounding the logo was not even related to the blatant environmentally vandalism caused by Lang Hancock or his daughter Gina Rinehart, and also had nothing to do with the extremely corrupt politically lobbying that the fossil fuels sector has employed to avoid paying any tax at all and continue to over rule the alarming findings from terrified scientists.

The team is actually rallying around their Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players, who last week raised concerns about Hancock Prospecting’s very well hidden record of white supremacy and genocidal rhetoric.

This dates back to infamous comments made by Rinehart’s late father Lang Hancock, who openly used to promote called for the sterilisation of Aboriginal men on live television not even 40 years ago.

Mr Hancock addressed what he called ‘the Aboriginal problem’ in the 1984 documentary film Couldn’t Be Fairer. His quote, which Gina Rinehart has refused to condemn – or even address is as follows:

‘The ones that are no good to themselves and can’t accept things, the half-castes -and this is where most of the trouble comes,’

‘I would dope the water up so that they were sterile and would breed themselves out in future and that would solve the problem.’

The backlash over these comments is yet another example of entitled progressives taking it up themselves to highlight extremely bigoted commentary and ideology spouted by people who are far more important than they are. The woke PC cancel culture rubbish must end and Gina must not have to endure such uncomfortable conversations.
