No matter how many times Dylan has urged her mum to write down her fucking password, it’s evident that yet again, Michelle Stewart has failed to heed her daughter’s advice.
And how does Dylan know that?
She’s received yet another friend request from what appears to be her mum’s new Facebook profile, which happens to be the third one she’s created in the span of two years. At least this time, she’d managed to crop her profile picture correctly.
Despite being shown how to retrieve a lost password, it’s evident that Michelle finds creating a whole new account and re-adding all her 24 friends a much easier process – or perhaps it’s some kind of cathartic exercise?
“I’ve sent you a friend request on Facebook”, says Michelle, during a lunch time phone call “do you like my photo?”
“I do mum, it looks very nice. What happened to your old account though”, queried Dylan, already knowing what her mum will say.
“I don’t know the password.”
“Did you get it sent to your email account?”
“I don’t know the password to that either, I think it’s my old email”, says Michelle, who also seems to have had several email addresses.
“Can you try just using the same password for everything?”
“I have but it always asks for all those weird numbers and characters.”
“They make it too hard.”
More to come.
